Hello, does anybody know of an agency/dealer that can handle all paperwork for importing a vehicle to the USA from Europe? Trying to to bring a 4x4 rv over to the States.

Check out Swiss Army Vehicles in Fayetteville, AR. Talk to Willy, he imports Haflinger and Pinz vehicles and parts.

Talk to Doug at Dividing Creek Imports. He’s well know in the rover community for handling imports and I’ve used him 3 times without a hitch.

I've done it (to Canada) and then to the USA. It's not that complex. Depending on the vehicle it might be worth doing it yourself. Under normal circumstances I wold recommend flying over to europe to inspect the vehicle pre-purchase, driving it to a port and picking it up at a port as you can get a nice road trip for less than the cost of an import service but with the current travel restrictions varying from country to country I don't know if that's possible. I'd be happy to answer some questions in private.

Importing it legally under federal/EPA regulations to drive around as a tourist vs getting it legal to register and titled in any given state may be two different things, almost certainly handled by separate parties.

For importing, I can't recommend anything other than a dedicated vehicle shipping company. Working with a vehicle specialist as suggested above doesn't make much sense to me because they don't run containers, warehouses, or work with expediters. All they are going to do is find someone else and pay them to do the actual work and pocket a commission for themselves.

I had great success shipping a BMW motorcycle to Germany and back using West Coast Shipping which operates two warehouses in the US. Their primary business appears to be moving rare and classic cars, but offered the best rates I could find in both directions. Their partner in Europe was Marlog Car Handling BV when I did my shipment late last year.

Thank you so much for your response. What vehicle did you import? How difficult was it to get it from Canada into the USA? Did you have to register it there first?
