Nice setup and good catch! Were you also using a fish finder?
How do you transport it to the water? 14 footer so thinking it must be heavy if you're lifting onto a roof.

I do have a fish finder and Lowrance GPS chart plotter. Garmin Striker 4 works great for other fish not so much for halibut, they live on the bottom. Yak is 120 empty, maybe 140 now with gear. No roof loading, you could if you want 2 people needed for sure. I transport it to the beach with sand wheel shown in the picture. It is pretty well balanced. I also store the wheel on the yak while I fish. The back of my tundra has a tail gate extension from the hitch, I also installed a roller on the extension to make loading and unloading a breeze. I also have a trailer for it from Harbor Freight which I use on long hauls say to Dana Point from San Diego.1673305207438.jpeg

Very nice. It would be too heavy for me. I'd want to get them up on a rack since I'd be towing a Travel Trailer.
