Has the new Yamaha Tenere 700 arrived in North America yet?

I owned several of the original XTZ750 Super Teneres, chased them all over Europe and Africa. Put 100.000km on one of them in just 3 years. Great great bike. The following Super Tenere with all it's electronics and stuff was not interesting to me at all. The new one on the other hand could convince me buying one. This thing looks hot!

One of my first bike was a XT600 with kick start. It was a challenge with me at 150pounds wet...

I also got to ride a 660 (I think?) in Mali when i was working there. It was so cool.

I agree I was very excited about the Super Tenere (and Africa Twin) but I think they are just too big/heavy for me. (I am at 160/5'8") now...

OMG that XT 600 brings back memories! The first bike I bought brand new. Kick start only! The first several months owning it was brutal, that bike did not wanted to start.... I had bruises on my foot. As I didn't have a car the bike was my only way of transportation... I dreaded the starting procedure for a long time lol. Eventually I got better and it wasn't an issue. Sold that bike after 10 months and 35.000km :)

This bike is one I would trade in my klr for. I think...

I think so too. My friend rode a KLR650 down to Tierra Del Fuego and make a documentary about it.

I used to have a KLX650 (only sold a couple years) that I took to Mexico/Belize/Guatemala from Canada (similar to this one)

But I gotta be honest, going from my KTM950 to the KLR was a big step down...

I think if you try the Yamaha you will fall in love.

Yes. If the borders open soon. I hope to get my way back from Mexico and try out one of these and a KTM at the dealerships in Vancouver. It will be time for many of us to buy to support and kickstart our economies again. Including me. ?
