GXV Global Traveler for Sale

All-
We are selling our GXV Global Traveler to take on new adventures. We have loved the truck, and taken some great trips. Most recently the family (4 of us) traveled through CO-UT-WY-MT-ID-WA-OR-ID-WY-CO over 40 days on as much dirt as possible. Asking price is $165K, which will include new tires (currently ~50%)and AGM house batteries. Serious inquires are welcome.
The truck is currently in South East CO, but may be heading to the Northeast soon. The box is a 2012 GXV built on a very clean low mileage 1988 Mercedes 1017. I will add exact mileage to this post shortly, but its under 30K. I've had "Big Daddy" for a little over two years after purchasing nearly new through Global Expedition Vehicles, who offer great support if needed (thankfully we haven't needed much, other than figuring out how things worked). I've attached some pictures, and have more if anyone has any specific questions. Below is a list of specs. Most recently I added pyro/boost/volt/trans temp/trnsfr case temp/fuel1/fuel2/fuel3 gauges in a custom housing on the dash, upgraded to a high output alternator and installed a 24V-12V converter for in-cab 12V, and LED offroad lights. I also installed 1 and 2 layers of Dynamat behind the cab interior. The cab seats 2, and there are bench seats in the back with seat belts for 2 more. The kitchen table slides down for a second bed, and we have a removable bunk that quickly installs above it for a "cot" type 3rd bed. I typically get between 8-11 mpg, depending on where we are and how we are travelling. Range with full fuel is around 1500-2000 miles. Top speed is 62 mph, and it crawls well in low range. Full time all wheel drive, with locking rear and center diff. It does not have CIS, we use the truck air and a hose to pressure up or down as terrain requires. We have found the truck to be (surprisingly?) very drive-able with nice tight steering/tracking and easy shifting. It has been supremely reliable.
Thanks for looking,
Steve

All-Here are some more pictures, hope I'm adding them to this thread the best way. I'm realizing I have a bunch of outside shots with cool scenery, but not a ton of detailed inside pictures. The spec sheet has a floor plan if you are interested. As soon as I can I'll post more detail pics but this should help some. Current plan is to drive from CO to Western NY the week of October 15.

All,
Additional inside and detailed pictures of the rig. The truck is currently in La Junta, CO. In earlier pictures there are big loading ramps on the back. These were originally intended to load a 4 wheeler or motorcycle into the garage. While possible, I deemed it risky and impractical. I carried my dirtbike on the front. I have remove the ramps and recommend some simple fab or bolting on brackets/holders for the included sand ladders, propane tank for outdoor grill, and shovel.
Thanks for your interest!

How big is the back garage? If it was designed to hold an ATV or motorcycle, I assume it will hold 2-3 bikes and/or skis? Wheels on? Thanks! Great rig!

Thanks lactic. It all depends on what else you have back there, but there is room for a bunch of bikes with wheels on if you want to use the space for it. I've had ~8 big black and yellow totes strapped down (using cargo track mounted to floor), a grill and an outdoor cookstove, camp chairs etc. etc. plus 3 pairs of skis and two bikes back there at the same time, and there was still room for more. Front wheels off but I'm not sure I had to. It's a straight through unobstructed 4'x4'x8' with big swing up doors on both sides. The actual space is bigger than that by half a foot or so in height and width, but those are the door dimensions. The bed is movable and will go up to get another foot or two of height inside if needed. I don't prefer that because you end up screwing around when you want to sleep, or sleeping with only a couple feet of headroom. I carry my dirtbike up front on a stout receiver tray and I've hung a few bikes off of that before.

Hi

Just wondering if your truck is still available ?
We are interested in your vehicle. We were wondering if we could meet up with you when you head east to have a look at the truck ? Or if you wanted you would be welcome to stop by and stay here if you wanted. We have lots of room.

Thanks

Very nice truck. When you are on the road, have you had to have any services done to it? Just wondering if any truck service shops can work on the engine/trans? I am interested in the truck as we are actively looking at GXV and Earthroamers.

I've had no problems getting regular fluid and filter changes. I haven't had any mechanical issues to test engine/trans work, but I know its a simple engine and driveline, and the folks I have worked with on the truck have shipped parts all over the place for people in need....but that's the best I can do on that one. The OM352A engine is all over the world, in trucks, generators, ag equipment..... Parts are not a problem.
Please let me know if you have other questions. Thanks for your interest.
