GXV Adventure Truck; how many here?

I was thinking about that also. They run the V-10 and now the 7.3 gas in huge Class A motor homes. I have to believe it would be adequate for the smaller Adventure Truck. For one thing the chassis cab is about 800 pounds lighter with the gas motor. That might allow you to use readily available tires from BF Goodrich or Toyo instead of the military tires. The 37" tires from Toyo and BFG are rated at about 3,800 pounds each and I think a gas AT might come in around 11,000 or so dry weight. I'm not planning to go around the world with mine, but really like the smaller format for 1 or 2 month trips out west. Maybe we can start a trend.

Several builders are switching to gasoline engines, EarthCruiser and Nimbl for example...

At the bottom of this link, I think this was the truck they bought for Rodney; https://www.globalxvehicles.com/globalxvehicles-for-sale.html

PS--hermz, glad they got back to you. Phone calls and emails later, still no reply to me. :( I've moved on...

EC perhaps because of the switch by the vehicle manufacturer(Fuso), not necessarily because of EC's choice. EC used to tout all the advantages of diesels. Then when Fuso switched to gas, apparently those diesel advantages were moot? Will be interesting to see what EC does now with Fuso sunk in the USA. Isuzu (Vortec V8) only?

Back to GXV talk...who else has a GXV AT besides RallyeX here? Anyone??
Nice '17 RAM Turtle XL for sale, bit of a western theme; https://www.globalxvehicles.com/globalxvehicles-for-sale.html

They have already announced their plan to continue with the Fuso this year and next year transition to the GMC branded Isuzu Vortec gasoline chassis doing a similar 4wd conversion as they are doing on the Fuso Vortec. In my mind, they have made a reasonable case for the switch to gasoline powertrains and at the EC size vehicle it makes sense to me. I personally would prefer gasoline on an EC if I get one.

Greg, I concur on petrol vs diesel. Would much rather have the simpler Vortec V8, tried and true, than a diesel/turbo diesel, especially requiring DEF, ULSD, all the emissions crap (future reliability issues/costs).

I thought I would bring this one back up, its been awhile.

I really like this build, just wondering if there are anymore owners out there that can comment?

I would even like to hear more about any current interactions with GXV.
