First test drive to the grocery store accomplished. 50 mph and no problems. A small bit of wind noise from the hatchback/tailgate. I still need to weatherstrip there.

Just put a big sign on the back, "ASK YOUR JEEP DEALER ABOUT A FACTORY JON BOAT!" ... That should confuse the heck out of some people!

I can only imagine how much quieter it will be when it’s full of all your bedding, clothing and stuff.

It's actually not much loader than my original hardtop. The camper is very tight, but the tailgate has a 1/2" gap along the floor. Tailgates weren't meant to be air tight. I'll have to look for some tailgate type seals.

Has anyone tried this tailgate seal on Gladiators?

Did this same my Tundra and its worked well.

Have you considered a Bedrug? They further cover the gap and make the bed interior MUCH more comfortable as well as keep dust and dirt down.

Funny you mentioned Bedrug. I just got a quote for one yesterday from another forum member. I like that they are cushioned rugs which cover the gap and the tailgate. My knees are killing me from kneeling on the tailgate. The factory spray in bed liner is very rough.

I'm still debating buying one since I'll be making some furniture to cover much of the bed anyway. If I go with the see through aluminum tubing design, the bedbug would work nicely, though.
