Getting caught up..."White Rim Trail"

Tour Guide
I need to get caught up on some of my trip reports. In May just after Memorial Day, I had reservations on the White Rim Trail in the Islands in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. I had plans to take two other families with us, but one family was unable to come, so it was just the 10 of us. The weather was really good, and we had a great time. I forget between trips just how long the road is and how steep and tight Hard Scrabble Hill is. For those that have asked in other threads, my truck and M416 combo had no trouble negotiating any part of the trail neither did my buddies stock DC Ford F150.

First set of pictures:
Everything was in bloom. We traveled down Lathrop and let the kids dip in the Colorado River. What an amazing canyon.

Did I mention the beautiful weather and scenery? If you look in the upper part of the second picture of my truck and trailer, you will see Washer Woman Arch. My son sure liked having shade to get in. That last one is called Candle Stick. I took that picture from my camp chair.
