Hello Expedition Portal Members

It's that time of year again. :(

FWC will have a Price Increase starting on December 1st, 2018.

If you have been on the fence and are thinking about ordering a new camper, now might be a good time to get an order started to save a few bucks over the 2019 camper pricing.

The upcoming increase averages about 3% for options and about 4% for base pricing.

Our goal is to always keep price increases as close to zero as possible.

As a result of the tariffs, over the last six months, our supply chain has experienced higher than normal price increases. We are not alone in this as you have undoubtedly heard of price increase announcements from other companies across the country.

The good news is we have reduced costs in some areas of our manufacturing. The combination of new processes and methods, formal production training, automation, and a cleaner more organized facility have contributed to greater efficiencies….and a higher level of quality. So, though our material costs have continued to climb higher, our production cost reductions have helped combat higher price increases.

Though we cannot predict what 2019 will bring in terms of material cost levels, we have plans to continue increasing overall production efficiencies. More automation and process improvement (workflows) projects are locked in to accomplish over the next six months and beyond.

Both 2018 camper pricing, as well as the new 2019 camper pricing is now listed on our website.

We are all getting hit with those useless new duties. Nobody is winning in that game.... American customers are picking up that bill.. .

In order to make things change there is going to have to be some pain. The big question will be, when things cool down will the prices come back down???

FWIW,
"PRICE INCREASE EXTENDED UNTIL DEC. 15th: Good News! We have extended our price increase out until Dec. 15th, 2018. We know buying a new camper is a big purchase, so we wanted to give you a few extra days to finalize your orders and get your options selected without rushing. We have had a big wave of new orders come in the past 2 weeks, so that will push out productions times a bit. But it's not too late to get your new camper for late Spring if you get an order going before Dec. 15th. Note: Current production times vary quite a bit during the year. With the number of new orders that come in this time of year, unfortunately our delivery times are going to start get a bit longer. Please call your local dealer or your sale representative to see what current productions time are today. Happy Camping !"

There is always an annual price increase, one year it was due to "Obamacare", this year it is "Trump's Tariffs". The truth is that it is the business model of FWC, and more power to them to be able to sustain this practice. It will help my resale value - if I ever decide to sale my Fleet that is!
Cheers
