Since we have the 15 year import rule, we're able to get the GQ's in. I like them better than the newer GU's anyways. More robust :ylsmoke:

These things are literally built like tanks. Just can't kill them.

Building it up for a trip to SA.

Amazing amount of room inside. seats 7 adults and 4.5 feet interior headroom. Reminds me of a friend's troopy but newer and bigger.

Simple.

Has to be 15 years or older to be eligible for import
Purchase in Japan via exporter
Ship over
Pay duty/taxes
Put on a day of insurance and drive home
Put on new tires and go over mechanically for out of province/state inspection
once passed inspection it's ready to insure like any other north american vehicle

same as the US for importing
Canada's import law is 15 years or older
US's import law is 25 years or older

They started production of the 4th gen Nissan Patrol/Safari's in 1987 so next year in 2012 they will be eligible for import into the US

japanoid.com brings cool stuff in. Never used them (or know anyone who has!) so I can't recommend them - just mention them.

Yep. Creek bed as far as I know is meant for access to a quad trail. We didn't think the Nissan would make it up the rock face with water coming down but it did.
