I'm diggin that flat bed / camper set-up. I'm pretty sure in a couple years I'll be looking into converting my, new to me just now, 2004 3500 bed into a flat bed with all that extra storage down low like yours.

It’s definitely been a great addition to our camper set up!

2007 2500 with the 6.7. Currently in the process of swapping over to Thuren suspension and ditching the coil spacer. 35s. Decked drawers, Yakima bed rack, tepui autana 4 tent, dometic 75 fridge. Bunch of other odds and ends.

This seems like a worthy thread to revive! I just got a 2018 3500 Megacab HO Cummins that we will use for camping, moto hauling and a little real work moving equipment around. Over the last few weeks I put on some Thuren suspension bits (more to come as the 3" Kings aren't in yet), 4.10 gears, ARB locker in the front, ARB Twin to power it and air up tires, Megafit tire carrier, Method 17x9 HD wheels, and 37x12.50R17 128 load index Falken RT tires.

We are heading out to go wheeling and camping in less than a week, can't wait for its maiden voyage!

One question -- what tire pressure would be a good starting point for rocky dirt roads and mild, but rocky jeep trails when lightly loaded? I've never wheeled something this heavy before? I'm running 50F/40R on the road and that seems about right. Thinking 25ish for dirt?

When we were offroad in NM in our 3500 the last week, we were running about 23 front and 26 rear with the trailer. And 23 front and 20 rear without. Hope that helps. Factory Power Wagon wheels and 37" load range E Nitto Ridge Grapplers. If you are running a D or C range, your pressures may need to be higher.

Drove up to outside Baltimore today to grab some stock 17s off a '12

Tires are 35s but are shot so I may put em on for kicks to see how they ride.

Found out from the PO of the wheels that there's an upgraded set of suspension components that should fix the bouncing I'm experiencing. Ordered the new steering link/drag rod assembly. There's an updated steering box if that doesn't do the trick. Seems that Dodge upgraded the geometry in ?07? and it should help with the steering on my earlier truck.
replying to myself 3 years later and the truck's down with a bad throwout bearing, with the suspension bits still in their box

Oh... and the wheels I drove 90min each way to get are in the barn. Found a screaming deal on some AEV wheels and bought and installed them instead.

Soon. I'll get around to it fixing the truck 'soon.'

Added a 3rd gen Dodge Power Wagon to the vehicle family last fall. First Dodge, been a Toyota guy forever. Needed some more capacity and the 3rd gen fits the bill vs the newer larger full size generations especially for back country use. Smaller dimensions, simpler truck, rear leaf spring.
G56 manual, PW package. Going through it doing some upgrades, preventative servicing and maintenance. PO did some nice upgrades and maintenance so it's a great base already.
After a few trips, it's definitely growing on me and working as intended. Impressed so far. Very capable for a full size rig.
Some minor issues sprouting up but working through those.

Those are great wheels. Perfect offset,incresed load capacity and a 1/2" wider.
