Four Way Titing Solar Panel Mount

- Hinge is 0.060" - 3" open 304 stainless. More time could be spent mitering the hinges instead of the 90 degree cuts.

- 3/16" 5052 Alum is CNC router cut. Didn't need the extra holes as the top hole provides 3 1/2" clearance from the roof.

- Stainless pins are 1/4" drilled 1/8" for 1/8" stainless cotter pins.

Two stainless 18-8 1/4" bolts into the panels

A 5/16" 18-8 stainless bolt holds the hinge to the alum.

Nylocs assembled with Tef-Gel

#12 x1 1/4 stainless screws hold the alum mounts to the (TPO over plywood) roof.

- Mounts have 2 coats of Dicor self leveling sealant.

When tilted there's a bar that goes between the 2 halves of the hinge.

I'm converting my flat mounted panels to four way tilt using 8 of these on each panel. Two on each corner. Adjustable strut mounted in the center with RAM ball mounts so it can be deployed in any direction and locked.

Yes 1/4 turn.....4 section poles but only 3 section poles are needed. The ends are original rubber/vynil. The top is stuck in the corner and bottom into the angle that is attached to the roof. A trucker's hitch puts tension on the poles to hold them in place.
