Your search sounds like most of ours,,,unprepared people going into the unknown (to them) and ending up having problems.

Sometimes I wonder why we don't just let natural selection take contorl and eliminate the lower end of the gene pool....LOL

I'm glad to hear that your injured team member is doing well.

Had a search yesterday that was expected to be a recovery (desert and missing for 4-5 days as left by a less than upstanding citizen) if anything as the area is thick with coyotes, scavanger birds, and at least one bear who left when we got in the area. Turned into a rescue about an hour into the search when we located the victim alive, as my first rescue its was a good learning experience. This person survived 4-5 days out in the desert, full exposer (nude), 40-100 degree F night and day difference. Lucky to be alive.
