Firearms in Expedition Vehicles

Now instead of whining like a child you could actually take action and petition your representatives for a change in gun laws in your state (some liberal hell hole im sure)

After a review of your above statement I'm guessing you are directing it towards me, so, for the record no one is whining like a little child here.

I'm stating a fact about how the private citizens of the several states of the union just accept laws that restrict or strip them of their rights and then think its ok for LEO'S to exercise a special class privilege that is not sheltered in the Constitution of the United States of America or the constitution (s) of the several states of the union, can't say any simpler for anyone to understand.

I happen to be very outspoken so much so that a large pro gun entity has hand delivered protests that I have authored to all members of both houses of congress in the past. That being said in the America of today being outspoken can bring the DH-SS knocking down your door, I hear some banging on my door!

Now, if I go on a trip, I'm armed. What I'd like to see is federal law override all states and municipalities concerning the transporting of private weapons/firearms. You kinda know what the feelings are in say Kentucky or Texas, but you get ito the northeast and large cities and you have to wonder what happens if you're in an accident and it's discovered.

I knowin Mexico, you're better off getting caught with a joint than a handgun, you'll go to jail.

The other issue is having to use a weapon, regardless of the reason, if you weren't allowed to have it in the firsst place, you've had it!

Good points all private citizens should be treated as equal however they are not aside Colt, Smith & Wesson making some more equal that others both houses of congress have created a special privilege class comprised of their enforcers the several states of the union then joined in allowing the crap to continue.

I suspect the only way to address the issue is to file a civil action in each of the fifty states of the union and other territories then establish class action status to them.

Yeah, if only there were say like, something in the constitution, that would guarantee certain unalienable rights that could not be infringed... ;)

No pulling punches here, great response!

I'm not ragging on Ozarker by any means, just gritting my teeth about the constitution we have, that means nothing any more to the ruling elite or either of the two main political parties.

Lock and load one vote, consider collateral damage, acquire your target, fire at will.

By the elite class, do you mean those with permits for full automatic, the lower class having the semi-ARs and the lowest class with granpas, single shots, bows and rocks?

I'll be rigging something up, vehicle or trailer or both. I'm trying to keep in mind those stash spots for a vault or just an impossible place for others to access or not think of for the you know whats. Maybe another small blackwater tank on the underside, fake plumbing and a hatch above. Need to get to it rather quickly as may be needed but out of sight out of other's minds. Think'n X-Rays too! Sure don't want them banging around!

Not sure who/which post this is directed towards, but I'll answer in case it was mine. By the term "ruling elite", I mean the political class; those that know better than you and I what is best for us, but who don't have to live under the same laws they make for us.

This is definitely a risky idea. Laws and their enforcement vary wildly across the 50 states.

There could be serious legal and collateral consequences, not to mention the added hassle of having to deal with legal trouble far from home.

Well technically anyone can conceal carry anywhere, just dont get caught. Even if you do the worst thing that will come of it is a trespass charge. (atleast here, other municipalities may have actual ordinances regarding the matter) ...

Ok, well I can tell you for a fact in the town that I live in the only thing that can be charged criminally is Trepassing. (which is why I stated your laws may very...which should go without saying...I live in a free state, not a liberal hell hole nanny state)

Right, in your town. If you go on an expedition, you'll probably leave your town and cross multiple jurisdictions.

Concealed is the way to go. In some places people are attacked in order to steal their openly carried sidearm. In these situations, the person with the gun never has the chance to draw.

Open carry is great but concealed carry is better in many situations. Go to Target open carrying and your likely to get escorted out by the local PD even though their store doesn't have a sign up. Here in CO they can only ask you to leave even if they have a sign. Again Concealed and no one thinks about it, out of sight out of mind. Open carry can also single you out if you were in a bad situation. I used to open carry alot but once I found a really comfortable IWB holster I've just conceal carried since then. I use a Crossbreed Supertuck, but their are quiet a few others out there that work the same way.

Interesting, this special group of privilege "LEO's" I can't seem to find any reference to them in any constitution of the several states of the union nor the Constitution of the United States of America..

HR 218 http://www.leaa.org/218/218text.html

Allows the carry of a firearm by a LEO, or retired LEO who maintains qualification, in any state. BUT, where a lot of LEO's mess up is it clearly states this law does NOT supersede persons or private entities to prohibit us from carrying on their property. Meaning I can conceal carry in whatever state my travels take me but if the Wal-Mart in Ark says no guns I have to play by the same rules as everyone else. Some would argue if its concealed they will never know, and I will leave it at that. It also says it does not supersede state laws about carrying in gov buildings, parks, bases ect. So yes we have "special" rights if you will but we cant go everywhere with a pistol.

Good day there, I understand there maybe some restrictions but to prevent the rest of the American people from exercising the same right in the common areas of this nation is something that will eventually come back to bite some in the rear-end, then there is the contempt it breeds in society!
