Yep, that was us...we were heading into Port Augusta to fuel up after spending the night at Hancocks Lookout Rest Area which is on the edge of the range above the Gulf. A good spot to stay, beautiful sunsets over the gulf, although it’s a bit exposed, especiallywhen the winds are gusting like they were that night.
Having a rest day in Kimba, waiting for the winds to die down..all being good we will continue west tomorrow.

Few photos from Painted Desert (or Arckaringa Hills - SA). We stayed for sunset and sunrise.
As so often in the Australian Outback, nature turns on a brilliant firework of colours at dawn or dusk.

Loved the photos of the Painted Desert , Chris loved the sunset ones and had been experimenting after viewing the Stairway to the Moon in Broome at sunrise and sunset over the water at various locations along the way down the coast , and has found she got better shots than with the moon as the light was better still now were near Steve and Allison but a bit of fun ,We are now home cleaning up the truck ready for the next trip. Ross

Water so clear we would be able to see the fish ..... if there were any to be seen. Supposedly a good fishing spot, but not today.
