F450 converted to 37” super singles

Just put one of the factory 19.5” F450 tires and aluminum wheels on a scale. 108# so 216# per side for duals on the back.

65# weight savings per side for the rear axle when converting to super singles

Very nice and good to know that the MPT version has high capacity. People might be interested that Michelin now makes a LR 150 version of the 335 XZL. With only 68mph speed rating of course. Might be semi unobtainium in North America. But Goodyear G275 are obtainable.
Does F550 have the same bolt pattern? Are those bolt together rims (beadlockable)?

Yes... 450/550 and dodge 4500/5500 all have the same 10x225 bolt pattern.

These are bolt together style but with the LT bead you can have a tire shop mount/dismount like a conventional wheel if you dont run beadlocks

interesting trivia about the goodyear vs conti 335 tires. They are the same numeric size but the conti tread face is 11” wide and the goodyear tread face is 12.5” wide

Sorry... correction 10.75” on Conti and 12” on Goodyear.

Still a considerable difference since they are the “same” size tire. I personally prefer tall and skinny so I like the Conti MPT-81 tire. I like the XZL too but prefer the Conti.

I run the 335 Goodyear on an armored Kodiak but only because I need to run freeway speeds. The goodyear is speed rated for 80 mph.

Tracks the same. Spent a lot of time measuring and calculating to get that right. This set up is specific to the pickup version of the F450 and not the cab and chassis 450/550. They have different width axles.

Focused on the F450 pickup bed trucks because they do not detune the engines like the cab and chassis trucks. 450 hp / 935 tq
