Just placed an order last week with one of the critical suppliers (for the custom trans adapter shaft). Doesn't sound like much but this was the most difficult part to source...literally took months to find the right folks to work with.
As part of our 4x4 conversion, the rear axle gets some special treatment too. Here is the Transit Sterling 9.75 rear axle with our 8lug hub conversion, high strength axle shafts, ARB air locker and big brake upgrade.
Curious if you have had a chance to tow anything with this. I love everything about these transits accept the fact that the towing capacity went down on them. I am also afraid a WDH system would stress a unibody constructed vehicle.
Yes.... After clearing my plate of some other large projects, I've been able to work on this pretty solid this winter. There have been some significant breakthroughs in cost cutting and simplification.
