Kurt, no worries. I had encountered this issue on my 80 but these photos are from a 78 & 79 cruiser respectively. So it's a emerging issue for this new generation of cruisers. Keep in mind that there have only been two reported cases that I know of here in Oz.

Nice find Pierre. That would be a fun trail repair. Nothing like some duct tape and tie wire can't fix right?....J/K

We have entered Botswana and been enjoying some incredible exploration in the Okavango Delta in the north

The wildlife in the Delta is like nothing else I have experienced in Southern Africa. A true Eden

I can only dream of one day watching the sun set over the African horizon only to wake up to zebras, elephants and other unique wildlife...
Well done and thanks for sharing!

Are guys using ground tents or sleeping in the back of the rigs? Avoiding becoming dinner sounds like a good strategy.

Rooftop tents and ground tents are normally used in Southern Africa. The 4x4 hire companies generally provide well equipped vehicles.

I've spent the majority of my nights under the stars, then again I carry a Leatherman for chance encounters with wildlife.

The two 78's can accommodate 4 people and there are several different tent options. When safe and prudent we've slept on top of rigs, on the ground or in hammocks as well.

We are just now coming out of the Namib Desert crossing and Skeleton Coast. In the top three travel experiences of my life.

Those are some beautiful photos.

Sorry if this has been mentioned and I missed it, but what are you using to take photos from 200m?
