Hello Fellow Overlanders,
Allow me to take this opportunity to introduce our new venture, Tern Overland LLC. We are lifelong adventurers with a focus on performance based equipment. We value simplicity and elegant engineering in our approach to Overlanding. We have some interesting innovations in the pipeline for this market, and we also intend to source some interesting items from around the world that reflect this mindset. Our first offerings are the EuroVision RV / Overland windows, roof hatches and doors. These are perfect for overland vehicles. They are commonly sold in Australia for their overland market. They are well engineered, with features usually found only on high end European windows. They are manufactured in China under strict quality control, with many European components.

Features:

Light weight and durable construction
Double paned smoked acrylic glazing
Top Opening
Retractable roller bug screen and blackout panel
Full blackout capability
Wide range of sizes
Doors and roof hatches

We are working on building our in-house inventory, and it will take a while to accomplish that. Eventually we plan to carry all the popular sizes at our facility in Arizona. For now, most orders will incur a lead time as we bundle individual orders into a factory order. We are currently taking orders for our next shipment. For more information, or to secure your place in the next shipment, please visit our website: www.TernOverland.com.

Thank you!

warranty question

Might I ask what the warranty is and who/where is it handled?

Thanks for the question ajmaudio. There is a one year manufacturer's warranty, and we will handle all warranty claims. We are also working with the manufacturer to acquire a stock of spare parts to handle repairs of all kinds.

Our intention is that people are happy with their windows, and get many years of reliable use from them. If anyone has a legitimate issue with their windows, whether it is within the year provided by the manufacturer or not, they should contact us. We will strive to find a fair resolution. When I buy a quality product I expect many years of use without problems. That is the mindset that we extend to our customers as well.

While I'm on a soap box, I will further say that it is often not reasonable to ask a person to return an item for inspection before a warranty is honored. I went through that with a well known suspension company recently, and my hair still hasn't laid down completely. There is no corporate bureaucracy here that prevents us from just doing the right thing.

Thanks
David

I really like the awning idea. Acrylic scares me a bit, but I know today's technologies are improving daily.

It'll be nice to have another option besides the standard windows available in the market today.

Good luck!

Thank you,
Polycarbonate and acrylic have been used in aviation for decades. As long as the materials used are good quality, they offer benefits. They are much lighter, tougher, and they do not transmit heat like glass does. The acrylic used in these windows is UV stabilized, and the smoke tint resists the yellowing that you see in clear acrylic after years in the sun.. The only downside is that it will scratch more easily. That can usually be avoided by just being careful to remove any grit gently when you clean the windows.

David and Aimee have been great to deal with. Fielding my questions quickly and professionally. I haven't ordered my windows yet, next week, but can say their service has been wonderful. As many of you know when preparing a build you spend a lot of time talking with vendors about your plans and some are good and some aren't. They are definitely the former. Thank you both!

Thank you Scott, we are project people too, not just order takers. We look forward to seeing your project come together :)
