Door seal replacement

Both my front and rear door seals are giving up the ghost on my 2003 G500. It looks like the rubber seal and felt is one piece and it looks like a fairly easy DIY install.

Has anyone replaced these before? I assume it's pretty straight forward.

Also, do I have the correct part numbers?

Front 463 727 11 30 7098 (looks like 2 needed at $220 each, ouch)
Rear 463-727-11-30-9051 (looks like 2 needed as well at $220 each, double ouch)

I got pricing from https://www.mboemparts.com/ but open to any other places I should be looking.

Those prices are as good as it gets and the 463 seals are very different than the 460 seals so don’t be fooled by the cheaper price of the 460 seal.

installation is straightforward. It just takes some patience. A plastic trim removal tool helps a lot. The doors might require some harder-than-usual slamming until the seal conforms.

I did this on my 2003 G500, my seals never conformed...I had to slam the doors until I adjusted the door locks and now the doors are not in line with the body :-(
but the install is very simple!

FYI, you have two different color codes on the end of those part numbers (9051 = black), (7098 = grey)

Also I used the OEM MB weatherstrip glue (000 989 92 71) to adhere the new strip to the door frame after cleaning off the old adhesive.

Noted. I haven't ordered yet but appreciate the tip.

Thanks!

M-B Canada as well as M-B Germany are reporting that the front door seals for the W463 (part number A 463 727 13 30 9051) are NLA (no longer available). I have been in contact with Steve Dempsey at Expedition Imports and he possibly has a substitute.

Just ordered them form mbwholesalepartsonline.com.

I had to call the dealer to get the right part number (hopefully) because it kept redirecting the rear seal to be the same as the front. Correct part numbers for black are;

Front: 463-727-11-30-9051 $246
Rear: 463-737-06-30-9051 $241

Next time buy from Merex. They can get anything and better pricing over the GWagon, Unimog, PInzguar parts supply monopoly we have here in the states.

Who is Merex? I did a quick search and didn't find a parts supplier named Merex....
