I follow all factory recommendations except on the rear diff. Because it is a clutch style differential it is very sensitive. If you put synthetic fluid in there the LSD will stop working. I use conventional API GL-5 and I add two bottles of Ford LSD Friction Modifier. If you don't do this you will feel binding when you make sharp turns on hard surfaces and your front tires will get a feathering wear pattern on the outer edges.

We used the correct lsd fluid from Mitsubishi. And it works well. Good to know that lsd additive will work as well

Hello Cameron:
I use an LSD fluid from Mitsubishi also and favor it over others combined with LSD additives that I've tried. The Mitsubishi fluid I use is "Mitsubishi DiaQueen GL5 LSD Gear Oil" which I get from Modern Automotive Performance, Is that the same as you use? I can't find the Fuso specified fluid and while I assumed they are the same I'm not sure.
