Decisions...'18 XC, Ranger, or older used?

I keep an older pickup around for work, local trips, and exploring the forest. It’s pretty economical if you do your own repairs. I also enjoy it but my other vehicle is a 2019 Ram. If you’re going to be paying a mechanic book time for repairs you’re better off having a newer vehicle.

I really like what Ford offers with the Ranger. In my opinion it's the segment winning touring truck given (1) a base model can be spec'd with a locker, (2) 1700 lb payload, (3) good ergonomics, power and efficiency, (4) great value, and (5) it's a sharp-looking rig. My only nit is that they should offer it from the factory with a leveling kit. That said, add a leveling kit, tall skinnies and a camper and one is equipped with quite the nice little rig.
