El Buffet checking in, made it home in good time to hang out with the family. Had a wonderful time on the trail and meeting new folks. Still need to sort through the camera, in the meanwhile here a few from the trip.

The trip was definitely great fun until the very end when as you all know one of my engine rods gave up the ghost...

Thankfully I had Juan there to tow me back to the trailhead.

Anyhow here are some the pics I took and my buddy Eric took as well as a video of that spot where things got a little tipsy and I needed Carlos to come down so I could winch off of him.

Did you have time to look at your oh ******** meter to see what it was showing?
It was definitely scary.

lol...that's scary? You should have seen the (muddy, slippery) slope I had to traverse today! Looking down at the recently rolled-over Explorer didn't help my nerves any. Nor did assisting the Wrangler that got stuck. When your best countermeasure against rolling is just *hoping* really hard that your tires don't slip sideways as your inclinometer reads 32 degrees on a muddy slope - THAT is pucker!!! =X

Wasn't too bad but after you've rolled a Montero on the trail you get to talk about pucker factor with some level of authority on the matter.:)

No didn't even occur to me to check it.

in case it's not clear for some who didn't see where we were hung up, that last photo before the video gives just an inkling of the slope. Eric was more than happy to hop out.
