Hey everyone - I just wanted to share a few pics and trip details from our Thanksgiving trip through Death Valley. The trip was EPIC!

A few key stats:

Rigs - 3 Toyota Land Cruisers (two 80 series and one 200 series) and one custom trailer

Tents - 3 iKampers and one Camp King

Crew - 6 adults and 7 kids (six and under)

Elevations - 9,500ft down to 40ft below sea level

Temps - 65 to 0 degrees Fahrenheit

Fuel Required - 24 gallons, plus two 5 gallon jerry cans

Failures - 1 x Thule crossbar on the trailer

Result - one awesome trip the kids and adults soon won't forget!

Here are a few shots to get things going...

Love me some land cruiser porn. Even more so from a location that's on my list of places to visit. Bring on the pics and report!

You bet!

We started over in Alabama Hills for the first night. Used that as our meeting staging spot. Then @shoredreamer led the way over hwy 395 up towards Papoose Flat. We spent the first night there at a spot with incredible views. Temps dropped rapidly to below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Not all that surprising given we were about 8,500 feet. When we woke up and finally got out of our tents, it was still only 5 degrees on the LC temperature gauge. Everything was frozen! All our water and fluids except what was in the ARB fridge. Reaching into the fridge felt noticeably warm to the hand...! I'll post a few pics here shortly.
