the weight is going to be less than the payload by quite a bit. right now with me in it I am getting very little squat. like 1/2" I am 200lbs so thats about 1.5 times the finished interior weight maybe even double. I have zero concerns right now about the weight. If it does prove to squat too much I will add helper airbags to the rear but really don't plan on needing to.

I'm less worried about overall weight than distribution. Your max payload is somewhere between 1200 to 1600 lbs (depending on your vehicle options), but even 1000lbs placed right at the end of the tailgate would be dangerous. Since you've got a big chunk of the weight aft of the axle, you run the risk of unloading the front suspension some, which can make for all kinds of handling nightmares and braking issues.

overall weight will be in the 500# range. I can literally put that on the bumper hitch, It it weighted 1000# plus it would be a little more concerning.

Seems like a lot of the short bed mid-size pickups would have this issue... I am also wondering if it should be a significant concern or not. Here's a typical short bed pickup with a camper on the back:

Ya, but it's light, and unloaded pickups have a lot more weight on the front. I don't see the front getting "light" on his rig unless he's climbing a 50% grade or something...

Just tested at highway speed. No more wandering than usual with the JT lol. Guys I think this is gonna come in between 4-500 lbs.

Aluminium plate 260lbs
Door 35lbs
Windows 20lbs
Interior 100lbs?????
80/20 40lbs ???
1x1 tube 10lbs???

That's a whopping 465lbs and I went heavy on everything I guessed
