I dont post but after the last several months lurking and reading classifieds.. Daggon. My guess is everything has gone up 20% at minimum. Making me rethink keeping my van until 2022. Is there a better time to be a seller ? 2003 Quigley E350 V10 . -125k miles.. slight camper build. $20k...

On the money, 6 months ago the feelings were the collector car auctions might be history but they went online and the competition between everyone from Bring A Trailer thru Barrett Jackson have seen rising prices. 20% is a conservative guess. Amazon is seeing record profits. The feeling is we are trapped and saving money so..... go online and spend it on stuff. Maybe the average joe is finding it easier to work for cash, tax free. Tossing more money into the market.

People with money are willing to spend it more than they were in January. Private jets business, charters and sales is skyrocketing. just because first class travel on the airlines is harder to find does not mean those who flew first class to Europe or Dubia are staying home, they are just buying or chartering a private jet to do what they do.

And yes, people have more time for recreation. Since clubs, bars, pools, sports like Hockey, Basketball, Football...... are all virtually closed...... the options like buy an RV are making a comeback..... seems to be a national pastime finding new ways to spend money

You tell me the date a vaccine is announed fer COVID..... and I'll say advertize it fer sale 6 months sooner. My bet is the thought of returning to normal with a vaccine will upset the market again. IF you want to get rid of the overlanding lifestyle..... SELL. But there is no way to replace it without paying a premium.

?! I’ve been wanting to buy a full size truck or 4run/Jeep on here but everyone is valuing their builds as if they are made of gold. I’m just looking for a fair deal but dang, i can’t justify top top dollar. That’s my .2. Keep up the the nice builds and I’ll continue with patience.

Inflation is a factor too. Our entire economy got inflated quite a bit this year between COVID related money printing and cheap interest rates.

But yes, in some cases used things are worth more then new... it takes 8+ months to get equipment in some cases right now.

Bring a Trailer has had some crazy final auction prices lately. For example: A 1988 BMW E30 M3 sold for $250,000 during covid. That's just insane. I'm upset that I didn't buy an E30 M3 back when people didn't want them for under $10k. Then there was the Land Cruiser 80 Series with 39k mi that sold for $77,500. Some people have lots of money to spend.
