Adventurer
Bantam T3-C trailer Serial #24011

I acquired this trailer off of Craigslist last summer. It has been a project off and on since then. i finally pretty much finished it and wrote up a blog post about it. If you are interested in old trailers, or want more details, there are photos and details in the blog.

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished project:

Mocking up the tent rack for our 1945 Bantam trailer. I should be able to prime and paint this weekend, then install and weld the crossbars. Next is to design and build the awning supports. This should make a great unit for basecamp!

Someone asked I share this with you all here. This is my first build, so all you pro's here, go easy on me please! lol

Started this build 1 year ago, with nothing more than a stack of 2"x3" tube. Been doing a little at a time after hours and weekends non stop it seems. Very much still a work in progress, approaching 2000 hours invested, with about 90% done with the exterior, and will be doing the interior over the winter. Personal deadline is May 2019 for a cross country tip to do the White Rim Trail in UT, plus whatever else I can squeeze in on that trip.

Simple DIY trailer nothing fance but it does the job. Can sleep 2 or up to 6 if I put up the ABS awing room and a 10x12 ft. DIY Mosquito net tarp.

Does this count? Shark proof for the beach and bear proof for the mountains. Batwing is next and then pop up top is the plan.

Pop Up Camper Build

I finally have enough done to post my build thread on here. This thread was very inspirational to me early on so, although it's cheesy, I'm proud to be able to post my build on it.

Link to the build thread

I started with a 1977 Starcraft Starflite 6

After a BUNCH of work (1.75 years, a deployment, birth of a second child, etc), I ended up with this

Very nicely done! You took something someone else had o vision for and turned it into something great!
