Clone of ARB Intensity LED Driving Light/Light Force 250!

I'm giving a pair of these a shot... I bought my LJ with a crunched DS fender, and no fog lights. I'm guessing whatever impact did the fender damage also took out the fogs since the wiring remains. I was going to pick up a pair of used factory fogs, but couldn't find any for less than $100. And while I'd prefer the factory look, and 9" lights are huge, the factory fogs kinda suck. So at $140/pair fit the 96W ones on Amazon, I figured it was worth a shot.

Edit: These arrived, and while they appear to be very well built, they look absolutely enormous when mocked up on the bumper. So back to Amazon they go.

From reading the article above, it seems Light Force did copy ARBs design.

After doing much researching and seeing the 7" ARB spot and flood on Auburn Car Repair & Off-Roads Jeep, I am going with them, the ARB harness, and the clear covers.
Getting them installed July 5th.

ARB headquarters moved I guess in January right down the road from this great shop I have been dealing with the past few weeks.
ARB use to be down the road from my work.

Will more than likely get the IPR locking nuts that fit the bumper mounting bolts.
The hardware for attaching the lights to the brackets already have locking hardware.

I was pretty dead set on the new ARB Intensity LEDs in the 7" version, but I read the other day in the Gear issue of Overland Journal they actually prefer the Lightforce 215 which is a copy of the ARB one.
Some advantages to the Lightforce 215 is when the lights are off a few of the LEDs remain on for a "ghost ring" effect kind of like you see on some of the import cars.
Plus the clear cover lens on the Lightforce are suppose to be easier to put on/take off.

Anyone here have experience with both the ARB Intensity and the Lightforce 215?
Which would you recommend?
I could do without the ghost ring effect, and I am sure I would get use to the covers on the ARBs.

I would recommend the IPF LED light that uses reflectors instead of straight on LED for illumination.....They look like awesome lights.

I just bought a set of the 185w 9in cree lights. They arrived today. I will be installing tomorrow on my work truck (sheriff's office patrol vehicle). So far I have been impressed with what I have seen (quality, price, light quality from touching off the light to a 12v source). I paid $170 for the pair with free shipping. I will report back with what happens.

I had forgotten I had posted in this thread back in June.
I did up end up getting the ARB Intensity LEDs.
Lotta bucks, but they are very nice.
Left one is a spot, the right one is a flood.

Thought these would be a good cost effective alternative to the ARB and Lightfoce ones. I now there's a hesitation to purchase Chinese knock offs but at $369.99 a pair there's no significant financial lose if they turn out to be duds.

Thoughts?

That line cracks me up. I wish I had the bank account where almost $400 wasn't a significant loss for me.

Corey, are those the smaller ARB AR21?
Yes they are, and I think I could have gone with the bigger one on my bumper.
The shop I deal with he had the 21s on two of his JKs, and he thought this would be best choice.

But I am happy with the 21s, as I have used them on a few pitch black roads coming into work, and they light up everything.
Turning them off and going back to just the low beams on the headlights is like having hardly anything on after driving for a bit with these on.

I think the 21s look great on your vehicle. Mine will be on a n LJ so I think the 21s are the correct size there as well.

Do you feel the one spot and one flood is the correct setup? Or, would you now go with two of the same pattern?

Thanks, I think the 21s do balance well on there.

Yes, I like having the spot in front of me to shine out in a narrower beam, and then the flood on the right side actually lights up both sides.
These were a very high dollar decision to make, but I am glad I went with them.
The same shop did the rock light install too, and those are made by Rigid Industries, the same folk's who actually make the lights for ARB in the USA.
Rigids brand of lights are pretty pricey too.

I installed the lights today at work. The whole process took a bit over an hour. When we ordered our vehicles we ordered an extra switch box with the wires pre-run to the front & back of the vehicle just for items such as these. This meant the hard wiring was already done (running wires from inside cab to outside body area). All I had to do was attach a positive + neg to each light....and done. I already had the holes aligned from the red/blue light bar mounted on the bottom of my grill guard. I used the original holes from the light bar plus a 2nd set of holes with the supplied hardware for extra secure mounting. The supplied hardware is BEEFY. The mounting bolt is 3/4 in size!! I was impressed.

Last night I made a make-shift paint booth in my shop room and painted my mounts back (they came as bare metal). This was done because I wasn't sure if they were aluminum or steel. The magnet I had reacted to the brackets just barely...and only on the welds. I also noticed a small spot of corrosion on the weld (pin-head size). I decided to err on the side of caution and throw on a layer of paint (flat black enamel) to protect the metal. Also it better matches my truck.

I will go out and snap some night shots + video this evening. I will post up sometime this week. These lights are BRIGHT in daylight. I can't wait to see how they fair at night.
My truck makes a good test-bed for lights, being a patrol unit we see all kinds of road types (only a few roads in my county are paved) to include corrugations, dirt, mud, snow, sand, etc. combined with very heavy duty use. I will report back soon

I had been wanting a set of these for quite some time. This was the video that made my bite the bullet and place my order:
