Good score. Base model 1sa truck. Rubber floor too? 4.10's should keep the 350 in the sweet spot.

Just looked at some of the interesting and unique codes on the SPID sticker. GSA truck that started life in Washington state with Federal government then to El Paso TX with the Federal government. First retail buyer in Texas and then to Kentucky where I got the truck. Carfax is clear and the low mileage is confirmed.

Heavy duty 480LE transmission, heavy duty cooling package, PS and trans coolers, full front to rear skid plates including the fuel tank, 105 amp alternator, 8600# GVWR, vinyl seats with 3rd row seat, rubber floor mat, AM-FM factory stereo radio, insulation package and a few other weird options.

Nice score! I love those suburbans. Used a similar one for work when I was in grad school. That thing got used hard.

Well the seller lied to me!

Said the fuel pump was bad. Not true!

Spent Saturday doing a little bit of diagnostics and found the fuel pump relay was bad not the pump. Swapped relays, charged the completely dead battery and the truck started immediately! You could tell it had been sitting a longtime by the way it ran on startup. I let it idle for awhile. The longer it ran the better it ran. Went out for a drive and was thoroughly impressed!

Servicing the truck today. Everything seems to work properly on the truck. Adding new wiper blades and changing all fluids. Going to to swap the wheels/tires with another factory set I have in the shop that will look much better with virtually new tires.

I also pressure washed the truck on Saturday along with removing and repainting the front grill. Nice improvement with the grill repainted and the truck clean. Washing all the dirt and grime off the truck, from under the truck and the engine compartment made a HUGE difference. Cleaned all the windows and interior at the same time. Gotta love all that vinyl on the interior!!!

Looks like I just might make this truck my new daily driver and sell the 2000 Dodge diesel I use as a daily to someone that needs a diesel. That will still leave me with 2 diesel trucks so no great loss!

I had 24 years in the military and have been around enough Gov. vehicles to recognize that paint color as one right away lol but I was worried when you said the seller lied, it sure turned out to be a great lie for you, a solenoid sure is easier to change than that fuel pump that's for sure! Congratulations on the score of the decade right there and have fun with that one!

All cleaned up, washed and polished with factory aluminum wheels and Firestone tires installed!

That Indigo Blue color sure does look elegant!

A truck elegant?

Why not!!!

Thought you all might like an UPDATE!

Fuel pump that that the seller said was bad finally did take a schidt. Replaced it with new AC Delco pump and everything is now great. I serviced all the fluids including the Tcase, transmission, axles, oil, filters along with plugs, wires, dizzy cap and rotor just cause I was there and could do it all at once. I also polished washed and waxed the truck inside and out. I have driven this truck as a daily for almost 4,000 miles since purchase in late December. Been on 4 out of town trips with the truck.

It rides and drives GREAT!

So good that I sold my daily driver 2001 Dodge 2500 SLT Ext cab Cummins powered PU truck. Stuck a bunch of money back in the bank and have not looked back.

I could not be more pleased!

My 1998 has been out of state with me several times.

Only once has it tried to leave me stranded. It rubbed the power steering lines together and wore a hole thru one. Shop just bypassed the long part of the hose that was damaged to get me home.

I agree you stole this truck.
