I came across these LED/Solar security lights on amazon and thought they would be perfect for camp lighting. Just replaced the sticky tape with velcro and I can stick it to various locations on the xterra and tent. A cheap convenience that does not require any wiring, battery drain or drastic installation. I have only used on one trip so far, but I am pleased with the light output and size. The light operates on a dim setting until it detects motion. Then it goes to a brighter output as long as it senses motion.
Only downside is that the on/off switch is a small hole in the housing that you push the supplied pin into. Since I only place these when I get to camp it's really no big deal, but you would not want to forget they are on and drive around town at night. You also have to remember to turn them off when you put them away, or they will turn on in the dark.
