Changing Mercedes Vario 814 Rear Discs

Hey Guys,

The time has come to change out the rear discs on my Vario, it's suffering from excessive brake judder and the fronts have been done. Now, reading a little on google, it sounds like a nightmarish job. As I understand i'll need new hubs as well as discs as the design changed due to issues. Has anyone on here done it themselves? Are there any specialist tools required? Any hints I need to know?

I know some of you have the MB manuals, I used to but for some reason can't get them to install anymore. Can someone check for a section on changing the rear brakes and email it to me? If you can, PM me and i'll ping my email address over.

Thanks in advance for any help guys!

If you PM me with your email address I'll send it to you, can't figure out how to attach something to a PM...

Docka, any problems with your hubs after you removed that split retaining thing from the bearings? Did you manage to find new seals to fit at the same time? MB want £700 per hub for new ones!!! Want to change discs without changing them if I can, but my hubs leak.

No, I've not noticed any issues but I've not done that many miles over the last year. Couldn't find new seals so just put the old ones back in but I'm sure theyre available somewhere...??
