Chainsaw mount

I am currently in the process of building an expedition/RTT rack for my 02 Tundra. It's coming along nicely but still have a few more things to figure out. I'm interested to see where people mount their chainsaw and what you've used (bought or built) to secure it.

Obviously a different mounting situation than yours, but I found this scabbard by Alcobra Metals in Spokane - https://alcobrametals.com/page/scabbard .

I had looked around quite a bit to find something for my application, there's a lot for RAZRs and other side by sides. You may need to do some McGyvering to make things fit on your rack.

If you have a case for it, check out http://www.blueridgeoverlandgear.com/The-Chain-Saw-Bra-p/21csb.htm

If it's in the horizontal position (opposite t yours) dose the scabbard clamp the bar in?

Yes, there is an internal plate that the screw mechanism presses against the bar. All aluminum so shouldn't mess with the teeth and weather well. The backside of it is flat and you just drill through the flanges as needed for mounting. I think they may have some bracketry but you could easily develop something

I've been thinking of using a case and hard mount it so the saw goes in but that would require buying a second case. This is a good option too

For $30, it's probably the most affordable solution. I think you should get one and try it out. And if you don't like it, sell it to me for cheap because I don't have one yet. :wavey:

Lol... I like the bra idea as well. And, it's cheap enough if it doesn't work out as planned. The Byte Tyte is bad *** however. If I used my chainsaw more than I do currently, I'd pick one up.
