CB's in Montero's

Would like to see any CB radio installations in Montero's of any generation.

Please show off your CB's - particularly interested in the wiring (where you got power, etc), and how you mounted your antenna.

Cobra makes a single din radio. I installed on in my 2000 Sport. Power should come directly from the battery. I mounted the antenna on the fender. CB antennas work best with a good ground plane. Center of roof is best. However, why do a CB? Get a 2M Ham radio. So much better range, clarity and less interference.

The reason this could come up is due to an insufficient ground point for the device.

I used a Cobra 18 WX-ST cb with weather bands in my Raider. Wiring was straight to an 'always on' circuit.
