Unfortunately my roommate’s Benz lost this battle. Crazy what a 7 foot roll can do with 6000 pounds behind it. Details after insurance is sorted.

Go for steel with your bumpers folks.

Aluminess bumpers are just as capable of shrugging off that impact as the OE bumper pictured. Were you disparaging some other material?

Let’s not get too deep here. Not a dig at aluminess, just that most other cars would have left us with two to fix. I’m just grateful it didn’t hit my Austin Healey in front of the Benz!

In all seriousness though, would they? Ironically, I’m shopping for bumpers at the moment, leaning towards steal but not 100% yet. How thick is the plate aluminess uses?
