Some camps: June 1965. From the distant past a beach camp at Point Sal on the Pacific Ocean, north of Vandenberg AFB, CA. The rig is a 1949 Willys Ute Wagon with Chevy V-8 power.

2017 pic in a remote canyon in Death Valley:

Waiting for the tide to go out to get to our 'hidden' beach south of Bahia Gonzaga on the Gulf of California, Baja 1973. We just laid on the sand on top of light sleeping bags, tailgating for meals.

The tide was finally low enough to enter, with 3 spare tires and 78 gallons of Pemex:

accoutrements in camp were a rubber boat with spear fishing gear

Mexican cuisine: our private party beach was behind ******** and Dean:

skin diving next to our camp: The water temperature in September was 88f degrees
