CAMCO Wave 3 heating element area

Friends...

I purchased a CAMCO Wave 3 heater a couple months or so ago and have been using it since then.

I've noticed that the heating element area never glows any further orange than about halfway on the unit (see picture below) and I use this unit almost always on the "high" setting.

For those who own the Wave 3, is this also the same for you as well?

I have a wave 3 and it looks just like that.
I had a wave 6 also and IIRC the glow on both never go above the
Wave design on the grill.
Maybe someone else will chime in..
Great heaters imho.
