California - Bizz John Trail

*Fair warning - these aren't the greatest photos*

Almost two weeks I completed a roughly 2900 mile road trip to California and back visiting a few areas/sites before heading down to hike Mt Whitney. These are just a couple of photos from the Bizz John trail (old rail grade used to haul lumber) outside of Susanville, California to Mason station for about 25.4 miles. The photos don't show the first 7 miles of the trail since I started at a different trail head so I didn't grab any photos of the tunnel.

The signs marking the various stations are very good so I grab what I could.

The Devils Corral Trestle bridge (the old bridge is behind the newer one)

Old homestead?

Yes, I biked the trail (whoever said you needed a motorized vehicle to explore)

Ye'old rail grade

The old rail grade for the most is fairly well maintained with just a short section or two where the weeds are taking over and is a easy ride (bring plenty of water and a snack, not much for shade). The only sign of any old structures I could see was an old foundation with some anchor bolts sticking out of it. Beyond that there was nothing.
