The time has come to sell my Tacoma project. I purchased the truck earlier this year from a neighbor who had owned it since 2011 and used it as a daily driver. The truck was completely stock with no modifications. I’m an enthusiast, having built several Toyota’s, Land Rovers and Jeep’s over the past 20 years. I am not a dealer but I do buy, build and sell 3-5 vehicles a year as a hobby. I target clean, well-cared for trucks and SUVs with the intent of investing in a complete build. This truck was no exception. It was a clean, rust free, platform to transform into a full on expedition/overland style truck. Below is a listing of all the modifications done since March of 2019.

I’m sure there’s some other small items that have been addressed or upgraded but that covers the majority of it. This truck is in excellent mechanical condition and actually drive’s quite nice. I used it as a daily the past few months until I recently bought a Crewmax Tundra. It is however a 20 year old truck so the paint and body are not perfect. According to the CarFax report it was involved in a light front end accident back in 2002. The driver’s side front fender was tweaked when took delivery of the truck but I was able to re-align it. There are random dents and dings around the truck and the clear is starting to let go the flares. I spared no expense building the truck inside and out and had intentions of having the body work done and it repainted but honestly I think that would take away from the utilitarian look and toughness of the truck. As is it still looks great and doesn’t cause worry about scratching or dent the body when going in the woods.

Price - $14,500

Truck is located in Charlotte, NC but I’m open to working with an out of town buyer for shipping pick up or drop off.

Several pics attached. I can email additional pics or you can see the build from beginning to end on my Instagram page @Steelman_Built

do you have maint records? timimg belt? trans service, etc...

Yes. The last pic attached shows the file folder I have of all records. It’s about an inch thick. Timing belt, water pump, both pulleys, idler pulley, all 3 drive belts, thermostat and crankshaft seal all being replaced as I type. Will post pics of it as well. Thanks

Fresh timing belt, water pump, tensioner, pulleys, drive belts, and a coolant flush. Good for another 100k. Just needs a new owner :)

what? Not sure what you mean by the front windows? They are power and work just fine.

Was just going off of the tape in one of the photos above that said, "do not roll down." Would love to come check it out soon, I'm relatively close by in SC.

Haha!!! That was on it from the window tint installer. Can’t roll the windows down for 24hrs or so with new tint. That’s long gone now;)

shoot me a PM and we can connect. Thanks
