I posted about this rig right after seeing in at SEMA...
and then myself and Alan of Sportsmobile West went and visited with the US guys that are bringing these in and converting them.
I will just say that they are not ready as a US based expo platform yet.
In Europe sure, here no.

Huh?

From the article that was linked:

"The initial diesel engine will be the Cummins 5.9-liter, 24-valve I-6, available with outputs ranging from 235 horsepower and 460 pound-feet to 325/610. "

"Sold as a "Remanufactured Vehicle," the Cummins will carry a full warranty, and might not require ultra-low-sulfur diesel, urea injection, or need to meet some of the other CARB and EPA restrictions on 2011 diesel trucks."

Huh?

Oh they are trying to set it up with diesel engines...
but the main focus is all electric and then hybrid.

Some of SMB West & my concerns were:
Warranty work? Who & Where
Parts aval?
Cost ($100,000) just for the rig, plus more to build a camper box
Registration/title issues for all states
final GVW numbers

so maybe down the road they will have these issues dealt with
