how would this work in a dual battery setup? you could obviously put one on each battery, but when vehicle is on and the batteries are paralleled how would that affect the overall "intelligence" within this thing that supposedly knows of "approaching battery failure" and other features it has?

For the dual battery system on my diesel truck the set up was one lead to the positive on one battery and the other lead to the negative on the other battery.
