Anyone used one of these - Deadman Sand Anchor

My winch can be used remotely. It can be attached to any part of the vehicle. I have power for it available at the front and the rear. It works well because it always points directly to the anchor point, so the cable lays up evenly.
Theoretically it could put the vehicle back onto its feet if it fell over.

On the subject of self recovery, I am looking at a 800-1600kgs Tirfor winch eventually.. all based on the wise words of Mr Ritter, some interesting and for me not very well circulated knowledge about recovery etc from the vid below..

I've used those tirfor like winches back in the '70's. I remember them as heavy!
