Anyone ever mount a weather station on their trailer?

Sorry, but completely wrong

As I said, they use trends, over long periods.

Per Acurite, their learning mode calibration lasts 33 days.

This is right from an Acurite manual
https://www.acurite.com/media//manuals/01181M-instructions.pdf

from troubleshooting portion of manual:
I didn't read your link because I know mine works accurately instantly. When I leave Houston and it is 80 and get into the mountains it will instantly provide the correct temperature. It doesn't take a month for it to tell me it is 28 outside. I know it is reading a correct temp because I also have a mercury based thermometer.

Now if you are talking about the forecasting of these units then yes, it is trend based.

PS I reread the post and made my comment because I thought the OP wanted current conditions. I see you mentioned forecasting and I didn't catch that.

Yes, talking forecasting.

If all you need is current temps, you don't need a weather station, you need a thermometer.

Mounting one seems to be an issue. I cant find any type of attachment that would fold down so it wouldn't add any height to the trailer while stored. I'm also not sure if these need to be calibrated before each set up, which if they did would not make it worth the hassle.
