Hey ya’ll,

Do any of you know whether Anyone is building popup shells for the new Ridgeline?

If so, do any of you have experience with the same?

Thx

I emailed GFC, Vagabond and AT Overland, asking if there was a topper for the Ridgeline in their future(s). GFC replied "Not at this time.", no reply (yet) from the other two. Haven't asked Snap, FWC, Alu-Cab, ????, yet, but intend to do so.

The responses make me think that there must be some significant differences between the 2nd gen Ridgeline and other mid-size trucks. I know GFC is able to adapt theirs by using different mounting systems for different trucks. If it's not just an oddball dimensional issue, it may be a structural problem with the bed, or something as simple as needing a custom mounting system.

It looks like Honda sells about 30,000 annually in good years, about half that in recession years. It's probably large enough to support the slide-ins for traditionally developed camping but probably not many are used beyond that to justify off highway and "overland" types, which is already kind of a niche relatively.

seems like it would be a waste of time that would be better spent building campers for real adventure rigs.....Just kidding sorry I could not help myself. :)

My question is why? A car with a space saver spare in a compartment in the bed seems to be a poor choice for carrying a thousand pound plus camper. It's extremely easy to trade vehicles these days and the cost to move to something more suitable seems small in comparison to the purchase price of a custom camper.
