Another trailer project, adhd style

I started building out the wooden parts,
sometimes I need to haul long pieces of steel so the area below the deck is open to slide them thru and there is room for 4x8 sheets above

I decided to go with 1x6 cedar fence boards instead of plywood
and I can fit a 4x8 sheet of whatever when I need to

I got the canopy so now I can measure accurate enough to do the end panels

I also put together a kitchen and bought a new stove, propaganda says it has two 20,000btu burners. Maybe it does, those rings are cherry red. Should heat things up in a hurry on a cold morning

It's starting to get a little crowded in there, the canopy goes in btwn the water cans and the kitchen box

I conzider myzelf to be thrifty
The vize haz had a long and uzeful life there and without the cooler iz ztill a good work ztation. I alzo made the tail gate removeable and it would be pretty eazy to offload the hardzhell and have a pretty good utility trailer

Functional electrical system, it's really just for charging phones and maybe a laptop, and our bikes are pedal assisted ebikes so they need charging as well. 100ah gel battery and 800 watt inverter. I haven't pursued solar because the system ties into my truck so I can charge the battery while driving. I also didn't spring for lipo because it's expensive and I think that it will get cheaper and maybe even superseded when the research money from those new govt programs are implemented

I built a relocateable fan stand that will also work as a place to hang our clothes overnite or just to dry.

Thx for the comment

We all live on city property, stop paying your property taxes (rent) and see how long before you're evicted.
Planning and zoning departments (gentrification police) are in every locale so in many cases building
something outside is restricted in one way or another up to and including prohibited outside storage.
To be honest, this is all pretty bougie anyway, and some get carried away with conspicuous consumption,
but, lacking inside space, many people are simply shut out of the process for lack of a place to do it.
I'm priveleged enough to have a space that is not visible from the street or adjacent property. I still try to be
careful about how much noise I make and when I make it.

To be fair tho, there are some other kinda sketchy home builds in the build thread, lol
After all, the adventure only begins when the plan turns to shite ;)

idk where you live but lets have some beers. ********

Lol, I don't think it's a requirement to know what's happening, if it is then this project is already ********
A few weeks ago the city fathers sent me a couple of strongly worded letters indicating shock and disgust at my "yardkeeping" and since they are the true owners of my property I decided it was better to tidy up than to resist. So I'm collecting up the debris and building one of those $80,000 off grid campers, or, retrofitting an old junk ass trailer with a tent

It isn't that hard to shorten an axle. The easiest way is to sleeve on the outside but I didn't have any pipe the right size so I clamped 4 pieces of angle iron on the outside and welded it up. I had it jigged up with the springs clamped on to each end and mounted in the spring hangers to keep the rotation correct.

So, we picked April fools day for the inaugural expedition of the bug. Yes, we got stuck in a spring in the middle of an otherwise dry road and yes, we had a winch and yes, we needed to use it because no, there was no one else on that road, lol

I want to use a spacer strip between the cap of the hardshell and the base so there is more room for storage when it's closed. I'm thinking maybe 1/8" x 4" aluminum or plastic. Anyone have any ideas?

Cool design on the trailer. I have never seen one like that.

I think you got stuck on purpose just to try out your winch. It looked like there was plenty room to drive around the hole.
