Is the rear winch mount still needed? I might have to model some ideas and see what you guys think. What details are important about the mount?

I would like to see it be able to fit the Warn 16.5 and ideally set above the hitch mount. I got in there and measured months back and I think it’s possible. Also would like the roller fairlead to be where the license plate is. This way one could do a flip up cover like on other fairleads. If one had to scrap the rear hitch I would be willing to do that as well if I could fit a 37” tire back there. Both would solve a lot of my “problems” haha.

Here are some pics. Would even be willing to go with a Warn Zeon 12 if we could mount it like this. Disclaimer the fairlead and winch mounts are from a Tacoma forum. From the pic off my truck without the spare in there you can see how far the hitch protrudes inward toward the tire. That’s why we can’t get a 37” tire in there.

I keep a Yeti Roadie 20 and an RTIC soft sided cooler for in the cab of both trucks. I agree that nothing beats a beer out of slurry ice, its the only way to go when it comes to drinks, leave the fridge/freezer for food and condiments.

How heavy is a roadie 20 when full of ice?

They weigh 15lbs empty and another 10 or more pounds with cans and ice. Roughly 25-30lbs fully loaded down.

Hmmm doing this route 66 trip in my 49 chevy wondering if I should do a roadie or a 35. My pelican 65 is too big.
