Nice work on cleaning up the frame. I should pull off my bed to get the top of the rails but my bed bolts are pretty stuck.

I'm jealous of the LT kit as well. I would love to have something like that but I think it would make my track width too wide for some of the trails around here.
Kpack- I sprayed the bolts with PB Blaster multiple times over the course of the day as I was working on other prep stuff. I ended up letting them soak over night and removed them with little issue the next day. As for the track width increase, I haven't found it to be a problem on the trail.

So friggin nice!!! I've wanted this kit since before I even had my truck and was the plan until my wallet and starting a business got in the way. Ran into the Total Chaos owners at a Texas Toyota event and she was telling me that the kit for our trucks was to this day the best performing over stock they ever made and was their favorite project. Their "Easter Egg", the maroon and white one on their site, didn't have a vin# so Toyota came back for it and it ended up in a crusher. But they said it was by far their favorite build. Wish I could justify dropping that kind of money on mine. maybe one day. After all I'm still sitting at under 140k miles.

Any issues rubbing at full bump? Did you cycle the travel? Curious as my AC is under the knife and I’m debating cutting a lot to fit my 35s vs LT for more room.

I need more details on this "no VIN" truck, what was the story on that?

OP, the Tundra looks great, I love the 1st Gens. If you can get past the frame rust issues they are fantastic trucks and an excellent platform to build out.

Think it was maybe a test truck Toyota gave them for building after market stuff. not sure exactly. Here's the link. Now in all their how-to videos, either one of the doors or front and rear fender is hanging in the background

mine is an 04 and has zero rust. But pretty sure it's been in Texas it's whole life. I'll be oiling frame for future beach runs

Make sure you do. My truck is also a texas truck but has seen a fair few beach days where some dunking was done. I am starting to get rust between the rivited components on the frame. Any time it was near salt water it got a full hose down under the truck and I did what I could to keep the frame clean and painted.

No issues with rubbing right now. I am running a 285/70/R16 though... I am going to make the jump to a Mickey Thompson MTZ, and that tire measures 34.5 " for the 35" variant. I've measured every which way and I think that i am going to have to do some cutting to the pinch welds in each wheel well to fit them. As for the front frame mount, I think that it will be okay. The Mickey will measure roughly 3/4"'s larger on the circumference than the tire I have now.

As you mentioned... the LT has given me more room to work with. Especially when stuffed at fully lock.

Here is a link for what I plan on doing to the Tundra and 4Runner. This guy makes fishing rods, lures and all kinds of other stuff in the Corpus area. His truck probably see's more beach miles down on PINS than road miles. But seems pretty easy to do as maintenance.

Definitely an interesting way of doing things!

I've recently gone out and test-flexed all the suspension components again for peace of mind. I ended up deciding I needed some spacers for the trucks rear bump stops. It's always the little things that seem to make the largest difference.

This winter I also decided that since the suspension was finally dialed, that it was time to start adding some kit to make this rig functional.
