I was looking at the NOCO GENIUS5. I contacted NOCO and they suggested the Genius 10
Yeah keep they saying that but if you want to add another Battery or use bigger batteries then it won't keep up with the power needed Vs Charging time,

A 10A charger is ok for 60 to 80Ah Batteries when it comes to real world use you need a bare minimum of 15A+, IE The Noco G15000 ( 15A ) can take up to 6 hours+ to charge an 80Ah AGM from around 60% SOC so a 10A charger will take up to will take up to 8 to 12 hours.

I bought the 15A Noco first and due to buying bigger Batteries I then bought the bigger Noco G26000 ( 26A ) model and it can be used for batteries from 40Ah up to 500Ah, The Noco G15000 can be used on batteries from 40Ah up to 400Ah So it's better to go up one size right from the start then you don't end up with dead Money.

I bought the CTEK US 25000 (25 Amp max) because it was on Odyssey's list of recommended chargers for a 62 AH...and larger... battery.

I have a 10 and a 5. 5 is hard mounted in side the camper shell with an AC outlet on the outside. Works great to charge my G31 AGM. The 10 I use for any other need (or to power a 12v winch I use attached to a trailer hitch for landscaping purposes. The 10 has a "power supply" function which is nice to run any 12V DC device without having to work your battery if an AC outlet is available.

The 5 is a much smaller footprint and more designed to be hard mounted. As stated above, I see very little real world in difference in how quickly they top off the battery, the 10 obviously has more oompf to do it with, but the programming cuts that down to a lesser voltage for topping off as conditions allow.20210506_095636.jpg20210506_095609.jpg20210506_095623.jpg

Side by side footprint of the 10 vs 5. 10 is more versatile with the x-connect harness (can be clamps, rings. Etc) 5 has the mounting tabs built in and terminates in rings (cab add clamps to the ring if desired)20210506_101720.jpg

I have the Genius5 to top off my 55AH AGM deep cycle battery when the van is plugged in. Works great, but the alternator does most of the work, so the battery is never really all that discharged. My Genius5 has the X-connect. Right now it’s hooked to the deep cycle battery with terminal rings but I could unplug the connector and quickly and easily hook it to the van starter battery with alligator clips if needed.
