Toyota Application?

In the Winter 2009 issue of Overland Journal, it said that AEV was going to be releasing their Savegre Wheels and expanding the applications to include Nissan Patrol, Toyota Land Cruiser, FJ Cruiser, 4Runner and Tacoma. Meaning that in addition to the Jeep bolt patters (5 x 4.5, and 5 x 5.5) they would be releasing the wheel in 6 x 5.5.

Anybody know if that's still the plan? If so, when will those will be hitting the streets?

Jamie,

I was talking to Dave Harriton at OX and he said they produce them in the Toyota pattern, 17 inch only. They are nice looking wheels.

NICE!!! Thanks!
...I thought I had looked everywhere.

I like the wheel, but call me stupid, how does that mount over the wheel hub with no center hole?
There is a center hole. All those pics have the center cap in place. I have manual hubs, so I definitely need a center hole!

Yeah - When this set of tires wears out, I'm going to be going with a completely different wheel/tire combo. I need to go with at least 16" wheels so that I can do the Tundra brake converison on my Tacoma.

I want to go with these AEV Savegre wheels (black) and Toyo Open Country M/T's - size: LT295/70R 17 (33X11.50R 17), or LT285/75R 17 (34X11.50R 17).

I really wanted a set of these until I saw they were only available in 17". Probably better for my pocket book since the wheels I have now are still round. Want but certainly don't need.

They do look really cool, but since they can fit a hub'd axle with just a center cap, I tend to think that they wheel surface is pretty far outward and would then be more prone to rock rash (yes, even from mild wheeling) and therefore I'm not interested. Neither is my wallet :sombrero:
