Adventurer 80GS In a Tundra?

Hello

We dropped by the RV lot today (shouldn't have done that), and noticed an Adventurer 80 GS at a good price. What's the story with these campers? Anybody have experience with them? I'm looking to drop one on a Tundra for some fire roads and backcountry travel here in CO.

I thought, going into the shopping spree that I was going to like the Northstar popups, but this Adventurer was approximately the same weight, with a SLIDE OUT and hard sides.

Thoughts on these campers?

I don't know anything about them but see quite a few come through the Grand Canyon and they look pretty good. Looks like that model would weigh over 2K lbs by the time you have it loaded up for travel, not sure what the Tundra's payload is but I'am sure that would be pushing it's limit.

So that camper weighs 1,600 lbs dry....probably more as manufacturers tend to fib. Guessing the Tundra has a payload capacity of around 1,500 lbs, check your sticker on the door jam or glove box. Loaded, wet, passenger(s), gear, etc you could easily be 1,000 lbs over your max payload. I don't think that would make for a pleasant driving experience.

Good info... maybe a FWC is more in line with what we need. I have not had the opportunity to drool on a FWC, Hallmark or Outfitter setup yet. Thanks for the info guys.

For the DC and Crew Max, yep payload is around 1500 lbs...the RC are just over 2000. Even a FWC is pushing the payload.

Could do a F150, you can configure the payload closer to 3000 lbs.
