I only mentioned it a ”Church” as appears its where misguided souls worship the god Krylon.

Basically Beehives were used to create better draft, contain embers and just cover a giant bonfire of woodscraps.
More trivia, they were not common until electricity came to the sawmill.
Before electricity, Woodscraps fueled steamboilers what ran mill machinery and heated drying kilns.

Thanks for the info. I should have known this as wood/pulp is THE industry around here, and the one I work in. However, I don't work in or visit mills. They still use wood for fuel in mills and plants, mostly in the form of chips.
