98 Instrument Cluster Bulbs, «*MAINT REQD*»

I’m replacing a bulb in the cluster and there are several unused sockets. Shining a light through them I notice a Maintenance Required socket, no bulb. Should I have a bulb in there? I never remember seeing that one lit, even at key-on no start when they all light up.

Also just found another one that is just «* PWR*»??

I don't remember seeing those when i swapped in LEDs last year. For the most part, I used this guide: http://forum.expeditionportal.com/t...ole-and-Interior-LED-Bulb-Replacement-Gen-2-5

The PWR one is the Power mode from gen2 I believe (not an option after 96 i believe). Never seen the Main Req light in mine. I had several blanks when I replaced my bulbs as well. Main Req was a mileage based light in first gen that came on at certain miles I don't believe I've ever read of one illuminating on a gen2 or 2.5. My guess is all clusters from 92-00 were identical and thats the reason for these to be on the cluster still
